Different Ways to Enjoy Your Next Baseball Game

Going to a baseball game is an exciting activity for all ages. Prepare to attend your next baseball game with these simple tips.

What To Wear

When you go to a baseball game you want to wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Wear a team shirt or jersey if you have one. If you don’t have your team’s shirt, you can show support by wearing the team colors. Not only does a baseball cap have the occasion in the name, but it’s a great way to keep the sun out of your eyes. Instead of having to constantly worry about re-applying sunscreen, wear a baseball cap to keep your face protected. Carry a small, cross-body bag to keep your valuable belongings in. This keeps your hands free for cheering and carrying food or drinks. Depending on where you sit, you might want to wear a baseball mitt. Between fast-balls, home runs, and foul balls, there are plenty of opportunities to catch a souvenir.

Food and Drinks

No matter where you attend a baseball game, you will likely find the traditional baseball snacks and refreshments. Expect to see hot dogs with all the fixings, delicious French fries, soft pretzels, cheesy nachos, peanuts, and crackerjacks. Crackerjacks are a combination of molasses-flavored popcorn and peanuts that comes with a prize in every box. You can’t enjoy the delicious food if you don’t have proper refreshments. Water, soda, and beer are available at all baseball games to help wash everything down. If you don’t grab your food and drinks before you sit down, you can sometimes purchase snacks from vendors walking through the aisles.

Plan For a Long Day

There are no time limits on baseball games. Baseball games typically last 9 innings unless the score is tied. If the score is tied, the game will go into extra innings until a team wins. You will likely be standing up and down often cheering throughout the game. Make sure you take advantage of the famous “Seventh Inning Stretch,” and use the break time to grab some more food and drinks. If you drove to the stadium, be prepared for the traffic getting out of the parking lot after the game.

The next time you attend a baseball game you can use these tips to have a great time.
